Chipmunk cheeks...
I look like a chipmunk. Or I did at least. The swelling has gone down quite a bit, but my cheeks are definitely still a bit tender. And I'm getting sick of soft food. Actually I'm getting sick of this whole thing in general. But I guess there's not much I can do about it, except wait it out and keep tending them until they're healed. (If anyone missed is dreadfully confused, I got my wisdom teeth out on Friday.)
Classes all day tomorrow. And a test in Advanced Accounting. I hope I do alright. I studied all day today, but I still don't feel ready for it. I don't really know why, but I have no desire to do anything right now. I mean, I've been studying like I should, but I feel completely drained. Maybe it's just cause my body is still reeling from the surgery, or from a severe lack of exercise or anything else that involves energy. I guess I just need to go to sleep. Hopefully I'll feel better in the morning.
I'm on an emotional roller coaster. Goodnight.

More Pics!!!
I finally found a way to put gobs of pics up on my website w/out all the hard work and without cluttering up my blog! Go check out the top link on my events page and see my test page. I'll find some other pics to put up later, and I'll streamline the whole thing a bit, but this works for now. I'm supposed to be dancing now actually, so I should get going. ttyl!

Pictures
Apparently I haven't been taking very many pictures lately, but here's some of the ones I have taken in the last couple months. (I know, I'm way behind schedule.) Enjoy!
P.S. I don't know what's up with the gap between the first entry and following entries here. If anyone knows what the problem might be, please fill me in. Otherwise I'll get around to revamping this whole thing sometime, maybe.

Flying over Crater Lake

John's parents, John, and I went flying over Crater Lake. It was a beautiful day, although still a bit smokey. Damn fires.
Pilot Rock

A view from Pilot Rock only a couple miles north of the California/Oregon border. This is the view on a somewhat smokey day. Not too bad?
A hike this summer...

Woohoo! I think I managed to get this one just perfect. :D I love it when a picture comes out even better than I'd hoped.

Ok, this isn't easy to see, but those little bumps on the tops of the rocks in that rock pile are marmots. I swear they are there. They're just not easy to see. I got as close as I could to take the picture. :P

This is on the way down back towards the car. A fire had gone through last year, and now there's tons of fireweed!

The beginning of the end...
Final semester of college. Could it get any crazier? I guess it probably could, but I really don't think I would survive if it did. As it is, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. Honestly I don't think it's all that much, it's just that I'm so anxious to be done that it seems like it'll never be over. As for what I'm actually doing, I'm taking 3 UAF classes, 2 distance classes through LSU (one of which is half done already), working roughly 15 hours a week, and dancing whenever I can fit it in. That's the basic schedule at least. Then of course other things get tossed in as well, such as a trip to Anchorage last weekend, getting my wisdom teeth removed next weekend, and other random things. Last weekend was a lot of fun. Brad and I drove down to his home and Kate drove up from the peninsula to visit for a day or so. We had a great time watching movies, window shopping, and generally just talking a lot. :D And I got my winter tires, which was the excuse for the trip. Wisdom teeth surgery will be fun. :P I'm being sedated and the works, so we'll see how that goes. I can't say I'm exactly looking forward to it at any rate.
Anyways, September is disappearing fast. I still have to figure out what I'm doing over winter break so tickets can be purchased. So many possibilities there. Or at least many details that have to be all worked out so they mesh nicely. I have to move to Anchorage, go to Wrangell for Christmas, and see John at some point somewhere. And each one of those has various requirements that are based on numerous variables that are all interconnected. Hm... what was that? A pert chart? Ugh. (If anyone knows what I'm talking about there, well, I'm sorry.) And for Thanksgiving break I'm hoping to make it to Anchorage to hunt for an apartment, plus try to get a bunch of stuff I don't have to have for the last month of school moved down there. So anyways, lots of planning to do. I'll have to work on that tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm going to bed. The dance this evening was a blast, but I'm beat and my feet are killing me. Goodnight all!

Back again
I'm home again, or at least back to Fbks at any rate. I think my heart is still down in Oregon, but unfortunately there's not much I can do about that. Two and a half weeks wasn't nearly enough time to be in Oregon, but it was a lot of fun regardless. It was great to see my grandparents, aunt and uncle, cousin, as well as my immediate family again. (And of course Murphy (grandma's yorkie), the miniature horses, Jake (big chocolate lab), and the cats.) And obviously I enjoyed seeing John and his family, including the dogs and ferret. And I got to see Shalla, my best friend from middle school, and her niece. I also got to visit with Emma and her family who moved down there recently. And John and I went camping on the coast with Joe. We did lots of other things too, but if you want to hear about those, you'll have to pry them out of me in person or on the phone... I'm not in a type-everything mood right now. In fact I'm really very, very tired seeing as I got back this morning after a grueling 16 hours of airports and airplanes. (Btw... if you're flying in a 737-400 jet, do not chose seats 12F or 12A. They don't recline. Even on a 3 and a half hour red eye flight.) And of course I haven't stopped doing things since I landed at 8 o'clock this morning. And I've still got more to do. And classes start at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow. Oh, and I start working next Wednesday at NATC. Anyways, will write more later, probably. Good day all!
