Hibernian Rhapsody
... by De Danaan. Very cool instrumental version.
Well, it's after midnight so here I am blogging again. Kate's right... this is an addiction! So much hw to get done... but I did get a lot done tonight. Stats is done and a very large portion of my tax project is done. Maybe I'll be able to get away w/o doing much tomorrow night and can relax and maybe enjoy someone's company for awhile at least. ;) And thai food for dinner!!! :D well... I'd better go to bed. Goodnight all!

Crazy Randomness
You gotta love a random music playlist! Cherry Poppin Daddies swing music to "Men in Tights" to a song from the Serendipity soundtrack... then followed by Aerosmith - I Don't Want to Miss a Thing. :D Fun stuff! That's all for now.

Need SLEEP
yay... my paper is written, just need to read it over again in the morning and print it out. and i got most of my cash flow statement hw done, also due tomorrow morning. i think i actually understood most of it too, although not quite enough to completely finish, besides it's nearly 2 a.m. so i really shouldn't be able to grasp it all anyways. :P this song is good for right now... "lazyhead and sleepybones" - they might be giants... my head's lazy enough right now it's 'bout ready to fall off my shoulders and my bones are almost sleepier than i am. goodni...

Yay! for wonderful things!!!
Yay! My tax prof added 12 points to each of the test scores so I have a 100 now!!! And I got a 99 on my intermediate acc'ting test!! And Brad just found out he got the job he wanted! And it might rain today! And I just got out of a wonderfully wet shower and feel great! :D Alright, 'nuf 'bout all that. Time to get dressed and get to work on my paper again. I'm going to finish that darn thing!

Fungible
Ok, I know I've been studying too long when I get stuck on a funky word like that. :P And I love the definition that webster.com first gives you when you type that word in: "something that is fungible". Gee... that's helpful!
Anyways, that's all I'm gonna write tonight cause I should have been in bed an hour ago. Goodnight!

Yay for titles!
Wow, how sad is it that I couldn't figure out how to get a title on my post... *shrug* oh well, goodnight for real this time. ;)

Well... long day... really long day, seeing as I've been up since 7:30 a.m. and it's 12:30 a.m. now. :P I managed to get some things accomplished today at least. Read a lot of stuff for the 5-page paper I've got to write preferably by tomorrow. (That's not happening.) Then went and studied with Erica for a few hours for the income tax test I have tomorrow that I have to get a decent grade on. Then went contra dancing for an hour. That was my break for the day, well, that and dinner right afterwards. It was fun though. Lynn was the caller and he's the best! So yeah, then dinner and then back up here to write my paper. I managed to get a good introduction written. A bit more than a page. It's a good start, but not nearly as far as I ought to be. But I really need to get to sleep so I can make it to classes tomorrow and finish studying for that tax exam. So, goodnight for now.

"Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day! I've got a beautiful feeling, everything's going my way!"
:) I must be nuts. I crashed at about 10 p.m. last night and now I'm happily wide awake at 7:30 a.m. Yeah, I'm nuts. I needed the sleep though. And gosh, it's such a beautiful morning! I'm almost tempted to go outside and go for a run, or at least a walk. In fact I'm going to. Then I'll come back and see about this paper that didn't get written last night cause I fell asleep. :) ttfn!

Yay for lots of homework... wait... NO, that's not what i meant! Boohoo for lots of homework, yay for lots of distractions!!! hm... i guess those aren't always so good either. At least not a "get stuff done" kind of good. They're good otherwise. :) Patrick, you really are the Master Distractor. ;) It's probably a good thing you're not online right now.
I have gotten some things done though. I finished my accounting info systems project yesterday evening and got a lot of research done for my intermediate accounting paper this morning and then went and studied for my tax test for a couple hours this afternoon. Now I need to work on actually writing that paper and then tomorrow study more for the test. Gosh, I'll be very glad when 5 o'clock monday evening rolls around. Then I can relax a little and not be scrambling to get things done. And almost all my big projects and tests will be done by then, 'cept for finals and one tax project that doesn't look too bad.
It is soooooo absolutely beautiful today!!! The sun was shining bright, white fluffy clouds sailed across the sky, and temperatures up around 55. I wore a light summer dress today to celebrate. :) I absolutely hated having to go to the library to study with some classmates. I wanted to study outside, but I knew I wouldn't get much done if I did. Not that I got all that much done anyways. :P I couldn't stop thinking about wanting to go to Hot Licks and be outside. So I left early and found Brad and we walked down to Hot Licks. Aurora Borealis ice cream is good. :D
Well, I should get to work. Of course Patrick just got online. :P ttfn!

yay! for finishing my take home test. Finally. I am a major procrastinator. Grr... you'd all understand if you could see the list of things I have to do between now and monday. Oh well, I finished one of them at least. That's a good start. And no classes tomorrow, so I've got an extra day to work on it all.
Hm... I need to practice my guitar again, and make sure I can still remember how to play the songs I've written. Speaking of such, here's one I've got stuck in my head at the moment...
Holding me close
Holding you tight
Don't wanna let go
Don't let me go
I just wanna be held
I just wanna be kissed
I just wanna feel you
Holding me close
Smiling at me
Smiling with you
Eyes locked as one
Don't let them part
I just wanna be held
I just wanna be kissed
I just wanna feel you
Holding me close
You kissing me
Me kissing you
A flutter inside
Don't let it pass
I just wanna be held
I just wanna be kissed
I just wanna feel you
Holding me close
I wrote that in october of my sophomore year here. I especially like the fact that I wrote it with no particular person in mind. In other words, it doesn't have any sting attached by a bad breakup or something. :) Yeah, I need to practice it cause I'm sure there are people who are going to ask to hear it now. ;)
Well, it's late and I've got a lot to do tomorrow. Buenas noches!
P.S. I did get my wallet back today. Thanks again Patrick for driving all the way out there with me!

Hm... Brad's and my hairbrained trip to chena hot springs was fun. Very relaxing and warm. :) Now if only I had managed to hang on to my wallet. Grr... I can't believe I left it there. This means I have to spend another 3 hours driving out there and back tomorrow when I really ought to be studying. Oh well, at least Patrick is willing to drive out with me. If I wasn't so tired right I'd drive out right now though. But I'm dead tired and I have a headache too. *sigh* well, I'll go to sleep instead. Maybe I'll be able to get up early and get some hw done in the morning. Goodnight all!

hm... I always manage to write in here after midnight. I need to work on the whole getting to bed on time thing. :P Of course staying up til 3:30 a.m. last night probably wasn't a good start in that direction. And a trip to chena hot springs tomorrow night won't help either. *sigh* oh well... maybe I'll actually get sleep this summer. nah... not with my dad and his love of watching movies. Speaking of this summer, I managed to find an email address for a ballroom dance instructor down there. So it looks like I will be able to dance this summer! :D
Today was a bit odd. A very good day in general, but I seemed to have a relapse of sorts. I don't feel like explaining here, but I did get a chance to talk to a few people about it and that helped a lot. Friends are great and I'd have to say that Kate and Brad are definitely up there on the list. Thanks to both of you for being willing to put up with listening to me. And many thanks are due to Patrick for being a really good distraction. ;)
Well, speaking of distractions, I won't be very awake for tomorrow's chena distraction if I don't get to bed. Goodnight all!

Today was a very good day... hm, I said that yesterday. *shrug* oh well, it's true again. :) I woke up happily enough, although still a bit groggy, and started the day off well. Nick treated me to breakfast. Then he headed back to Haines and I headed to my studies. Erica and I studied for a while in the library and also bugged our professor for help too. Then Aaron and I walked to Hot Licks and got ice cream. :D I got raspberry shower. It was very good. Raspberry ice cream with bits of chocolate mixed in. Yum yum! Then I came back up here and pretended to homework all evening while waiting very impatiently for Patrick to get back. He's still not back yet. But his roommate said he'd tell him to call when he gets back. I'm not incredibly worried about him, I'll just be able to sleep a little better when I know he's back safely. And good sleep is something I really need, seeing as I have an Intermediate Accounting exam tomorrow morning. :S Wish me luck, cause I'm gonna need it!
Well, time to try to go to sleep. Goodnight all!

Today was a very good day. The day started off with me getting out of bed an hour before I normally would so I could go talk to my accounting prof about a project that's due in a week. I still had to find a topic. :S I have a topic now, so I can get started. Then I had intermediate accounting class, in which the same prof went over what's going to be on the test monday. Grr... I'm sick of school and do NOT want to be studying all weekend. :P Then I came up here and managed to get absolutely no homework done before heading off to dance class. We reviewed salsa today, that was fun. :) Then I ran to my acc'ting info systems class, followed by income tax, followed by an income tax review session for the test which has been bumped to a week from monday, which means the review session won't have done much good. :P
Now for the fun parts of my day! After the study session, I went and picked up Nick, who's in town for the weekend. :D He's my "big brother" who graduated last year, so I hadn't seen him in waaaaaay too long. So we went to dinner at Geraldo's (an excellent restuarant, btw) and had a wonderful time talking and laughing and catching up. :) Then I hurried back here and changed into a cute dress for the latin dance tonight which Brad and I went to. The dance was a lot of fun! I don't think I sat out more than one or two dances the entire time. And of course Rulon had to bring along Cotton Eye Joe (a very fast and long polka!) and played it at the end of the dance, so I left completely exhausted, but very happy. :)
Now I'm just sitting here relaxing, listening to "Bolero" (some cool classical piece) and thinking about how warm and soft my bed looks right now. *sigh* It's sleepy time for happy little me. :) Goodnight all!

Today has been interesting. I woke up this morning happier than happy. I was quite ecstatic. Couldn't really figure out why, but life was looking good. Then over the course of the day my mood gradually became rather tired and a bit sad. I'm really not sure why, but I'm going to blame the time of month. I'm in a much better mood now though, thanks to english country dancing and a wonderful friend named Brad. :) English country dancing is fun... very calm and sedate in some cases and rather fast and wild in others, but always with a very authentic british or early american feel. Yeah, it's fun.
I'm almost slightly sad that Patrick hasn't emailed me back yet, even though I know he's probably having the time of his life at the folk fest and likely doesn't have access to the internet. I do miss him though... he's so much fun and so sweet. But I'd better not say too much, he might read this. ;)
School needs to be over. I'm sick of doing homework and going to classes. I want to have a few weeks up here to just hang out and dance and do fun things with everyone before the summer starts and I have to head off to Juneau. But that's not how life works. :P There are so many things I want to do and so little time to do them.
Well, time to get to at least a little homework. ttfn!

Ok... a subservient online chicken??? Now that's a bit too weird! (www.subservientchicken.com for those of you who are curious now)
Well... gosh... life is great, crazy, and as always, busy beyond all belief! I ought to be reading my spanish book for class tomorrow, but I'll get to it later I guess. Today was a happy day though. The sun was beautiful and fairly warm, things went well. I decided to run for IT Officer for the GAAP club. (The accounting club here.) As such I will be in charge of updating and upgrading the GAAP website for next year. That would be fun.
I didn't sleep so well last night... I wonder if it had anything to do with the Mike's hard lemonade I drank at the pub last night while listening to the Hot Club of Cowtown. Seeing as it was the first time I've had more than a sip of anything with alcohol in it, that could be. As Richard and I started back up to the dorms afterwards, I could feel a bit affected... nothing too major, just things felt a little more swimmy than normal. I think that tells me I should never drink too much... if only one bottle of hard lemonade will do that much, I don't want to know what too much more would do.
Well, there are so many more things I could write about, but I think I'll stop for tonight and save some stories for later. And I need to read that spanish story... So, goodnight all!
