Waiting in the airport...
This is totally cool. I'm sitting here at gate C1 waiting for my plane to arrive late from Long Beach, or wherever it is. But I'm online, so it's all good. Hm... you'd think I'd never heard of technology before... but even Kate and my mom asked how much it cost, and it's free! Totally cool. Alright, well I'm going to go find some online games to play or something. Good day all!

I'm ready to go home.
I've been here long enough. Tomorrow morning, I'm outta here. Don't get me wrong. I love visiting my family, but not for too long. Besides, there's not enough to do here. I've managed to become bored with nearly every computer game and xbox game in this house already (at least the ones I'm interested in). And there aren't too many more movies that I haven't already seen and want to. My dad left on Sunday, my brother and sister left this morning, so it's just my mom and I now. She did say she'd go shopping with me later, which should be fun. And it's snowing like crazy. It had better let up a bit by tomorrow morning, cause I won't be very happy if my plane doesn't fly. I had enough troubles with that on my way south. And I've still got a good bit of stuff to accomplish in Fbks before I leave too. Must get my car ready to go, both with new tires and full of stuff. And New Year's Eve should be fun. Not sure what exactly I'll be doing yet, but I know it'll at least partially have to do with a dance at AKland. That one is sounding like it'll be pretty cool. Several of the dance clubs are joining efforts on that, so there'll be ballroom dancing, round dancing, contra dancing and who knows what else. Also some demos from various people/groups. I hope Matt's toe is feeling better so we can do a salsa demo. :D And Judy wants to do a sevillana demo too (a style of flamenco dancing). I'm not so sure about that one though. I really don't remember the sevillanas very well and I think it might take more than just a day or two to remember them well enough to demo. We'll see though. Then on New Year's day, Chris and I are going to drive to Anchortown. Then I get to settle in to a new town, new place, and new job. That'll be fun. Oh, and then take off to Orlando for a week. :D Alright, well for now I'm off to lunch with Tim, then visit the Permanent Fund again, check the mail and come get my mom to go shopping. Good day all!

Merry Christmas!!!
Ok, so I'm a few hours early, as Kate made sure to remind me. But Christmas at our house starts early. We had a fabulous Christmas Eve dinner of pizza, martinelli's, and various hors d'oeuvres (yes it's spelled right). I was in charge of choosing and making the hors d'oeuvres. That was fun. :D We could have survived quite happily on just those, but then we wouldn't have had any of my mom's absolutely fabulous homemade pesto and artichoke pizza. So, we had dinner and then started in on the presents. I got...
The whole set of Harry Potter books from my brother,
Thick warm red sweater from my sister,
Car seat covers and a steering wheel cover from my parents,
Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights DVD from my parents,
512 MB USB thumb drive from my parents,
Stuffed poodle and $10 gift card to Target from my aunt and uncle,
Stuffed puppy and dark chocolate from Nick,
$25 check from Grandma & Grandpa Willes,
Funky gold and silver bracelet from Grandma & Grandpa Easterday,
(Before I left Fairbanks, Chris gave me 2 tango lesson cds.)
and my parents also got me one other gift... a beautiful white gold ring with a heart shaped blue topaz and 6 tiny diamonds set in it. :D It's gorgeous!!! My mom said I needed a ring that didn't have any guys attached to it. ;) It does come with a warranty too, so I can get it cleaned regularly and such. I need to take it down soon and have it made a little bit smaller... it's a tiny bit too big. Well, I think that's all I got for Christmas. Lots of wonderful gifts. :) And everyone loved the stuff I got/made for them. My mom and sister love their scarves, my brother was very excited about his game, and my dad was quite excited when he saw the movies I had picked out for him.
It's been very nice being home. I am glad I'm only here for a few more days, otherwise the beauty of it might wear off, but it's definitely nice right now. After the weekend I'm hoping to get some clothes shopping done. For the time being though... goodnight all!

Only 1 day minus 3 hours late
Finally made it to Juneau, only nearly a day late. This house is pretty nice though. It has an amazing view! Of course to get that view you have to climb up 93 steps to get to the house. :P Talk about killer! It took me at least 10 minutes to recover from that. I might lose weight while I'm here. ;) Anyways, I'm tired and need a shower, so I'm gonna go get one. Good day all!

Screwy schedules
I think I'm successfully throwing my sleep schedule off. It's 1 a.m. and I'm only mildly tired. I haven't made it to sleep before about 2 a.m. for the last 3 days at least and I doubt I will tonight either. I should probably use this "awake late at night" time to get cracking on that paper, or studying for the auditors bowl, but of course I'm instead writing in my blog and chatting to friends. *sigh*
I watched Oceans Twelve this evening. It was pretty good. It's hard to decide whether it is as good as or worse than Oceans Eleven, but I think I've determined it was not better. It has some really crazy filmography in it (Brad says I should use that word more often) and the story line really does keep you guessing. Maybe I'm just blind, but there were numerous things that happened that I found quite unexpected. It was pretty good though.
Alright, time for me to do something productive: either sleeping or working. Goodnight all!

Can school please just be over???
I am going absolutely insane! I am so completely ready for school to be done. I just want to scream and say forget everything, I am done! But I can't. I have to put up with one last week of classes and then a week of finals. Then I get to pack everything up and move, again. Good grief, does the stress ever stop???
Thank you Kate for telling me to play this song. I needed to hear it again.
I Hope You Dance - Lee Ann Womack
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat
But always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they're worth taking
Lovin' might be a mistake
But it's worth making
Don't let some hell bent heart
Leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out
Reconsider
Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a real and constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who)
I hope you dance
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
(Where those years have gone)
I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
Dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a real and constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who)
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)

I hope you dance

Goodnight all!
P.S. Kate is wondering at my sanity for writing two blogs in one day.

P.S. Kate is wondering at my sanity for writing two blogs in one day.
Yes Kate, I'm actually writing a blog...
A short one though... I have way too much to do today.
I cannot get sick yet... but my throat hurts a little right now. :( And I have a concert today too. Singing for an hour with a sore throat is not going to be fun, if I can even sing properly. Not to mention I need to conserve all the energy I can so that I can work like crazy on all the homework I have to get done by tomorrow. I still have a take home test to finish and a term paper rough draft to fill out. I'm going insane!!!
Last night's dance was a lot of fun. It was hosted by the intermediate ballroom dance class, and Patrick and I were the ones who put the music together. We spent most of Thursday evening working on that. It was sooooo much fun!!! I am so going to miss Patrick next semester, and over Christmas break. (Poor guy is stuck going to Texas for break.) Everyone loved the music compliation though, so it was a success. Chris didn't make it to the dance though, which made me a little bit sad, but I wore out way too fast last night anyways, so it's probably just as well. By about halfway through the dance I was feeling light headed, tired, and felt like I was overheating. (I had been dancing pretty hard.) So I sat through most of the rest of the dances, except for a waltz with Patrick and one or two other slower dances. It was still a fun dance though. There were so many younger people there, it was a very lively bunch. I had to turn away so many guys after I wasn't feeling so well, it was sad. :(
Other news, my car is in the shop right now. It's getting new side mirrors and hopefully will be able to pass emissions. We shall see what that ends up costing. :S The emissions part is a b-day present from my mom though, so I don't have to worry about that too much. Oh, that's right, I haven't mentioned my little car sledding experience which ended with the car on its side in the snow on the side of the road and the demise of my two side mirrors. Yes, that's about all I can tell you about it, except that it was on the Haines Hwy coming back from visiting Nick for Thanksgiving. It was an interesting experience that I really would like to never, ever repeat.
School is going full speed ahead and won't quit until that very abrupt stop at the end of finals week. But fortunately I have a couple days after finals to relax, visit friends, and pack my stuff before I fly to Juneau for Christmas. Then I fly back up here to Fairbanks after about a week and a half to get my car and drive to Anchorage. Work officially starts on the 5th of January, and then the 10th through 14th I will be in Orlando, FL attending an Intern Training Program. :D Yay for picking a national (actually worldwide) firm to work for. Kate keeps saying she picked the wrong major. ;) Although I'm sure she wouldn't enjoy working in an office all the time, which is what I prefer.
Well, so much for a short blog. Good day all!
