Leeann emailed me today! She successfully completed her climb up Mt. Adams, and (this is the really sweet romantic part) she was proposed to at the top! How cool is that? Hm... if only I can find a guy some day who will be half that good at picking a good time to ask. ;) No pressure! Haha.
In other news: My job loves me so much they want me to work an extra week! This is cool because I have to be here for that week anyways, so as long as I can get my car packed, I'd love to make money too! So now I should be working through the 19th of August. Then that Friday, the 20th, will be the last push to finish packing my car and that night I'll get on the ferry that Kate will have already ridden all the way from Bellingham. :D I already warned her not to plan on sleeping much that night. ;) I should caution her that I might end up falling asleep unwittingly though, seeing as my sleep schedule will still be near the 9:30 p.m. bedtime mark. That or I'll be extra hyper, which can be worse. :S Now I just have to plan the rest of the trip. We've got about 4 days between the time we get off the ferry in Haines until we can move into our apartment at UAF. So, we're planning on taking a little detour on the way north and stopping by Whitehorse! I've never been there and Kate says she hasn't actually been there, so it'll be a fun experience. I need to find out what there is to do there still though. Everyone seems to like going there, but so far I'm still trying to figure out why. (Besides the rather unhelpful answer of, "It's not home.")
Time for me to think about heading back to work now. Good day all!
